So my first week at college has come to a close. Today is my first day of actual classes and I'm half excited, half terrified. Orientation week was fun, except for the past 3 day because I managed to get some sort of virus. Apparently it's common for kids to get sick early on because they're suddenly exposed to new germs and close quarters.
I'm really excited because the way I worked my schedule is that I don't have a single class until 11. At 11 is my first year seminar and then intro to philosophy, then sculpture. Tomorrow I only have one class, the History of Dress, which I'm really excited for. I've always wanted to take a costuming class. And it had better be fun too, because I had to buy an expensive new textbook that's bigger and heavier than my laptop (I've named it Big Sue).
The thing that I'm really distressed about is that since I am no longer at home, my big, crotchety old desktop computer isn't at my disposal. This also means that I no longer have Photoshop. I'm so sad! I never realized how much I actually used it; not only for my photos, but for everyday stuff like cropping and designing. I'll probably break eventually and buy it, but it's so damn expensive. I think I'll wait until more newer versions come out (I've been using CS3) so I can get it cheaper.
*sniff* I miss you Photoshop.
